Ferry transport

There is a car ferry which is running 5times every day in summer and 3 times in winter season. Travelling the 4-mile distance between the Geyikli Yükyeri Dock and Bozcaada takes approximately 35 minutes. In summer it is recommended to be at least 1 hour in advanced there because the space at the ferry is limited.

The price is round about 12-15 YTL for 2 persons, car incl. return.

Yakamoz

Yakamoz is a really lovely restaurant near the small harbour of that island. They are serving excellent fish food. Based that they are having a own wine production on the island they are also having a variety of local wines.
No idea what's happened in the summer. I would guess you should take a reservation. In winter time they haven't had a menu but you will find all available dishes an plates on a side board. We had a selection of various starters and the octopus as main course with a excellent wine and coffee. In total we paid around 80YTL for 2 person (ca. 45Euro)

Bozcaada

Is a funny small Island in the Çanakkale district.

It is a quite popular summer residence for Turkey citizen and us well for tourist over the summer month. I've been there in December and it was lovely empty and the weather actually was fine. The temperature where like spring time in Germany which means excellent for walking. In summer incl. Tourist there are ca. 10thousand people on the island. Counted inhabitants are ca. 2,5thousand. There are also some Greek Turkish inhabitants as well.

They are having wine productions as well and that with wine that we had for lunch was excellent. In the last week of June there are also wine tasting days.
So don't hesitate to check it out.
