Kolberg (Kolobrzeg) is a very old city and was one of the members of the hanseatic league. It was totaly destroyed in World War II (about 90% of the city) but rebuilt by the Polish.

Being a coastal resort for more than 100 years, now it is very famous for its sanatoriums and health resorts.
The city's structure is a little bit confusing, but it is always easy to find the long white beach. Coming along the beach, you can't cross the harbour's entry and you have to go a long way round it.

You can get there by train or bus, there are also ferries to/from Denmark (Bornholm).
