Save this article to your travelbookDie meisten Traveller suchen sich eine Lodge in der Nähe der Jalan Jaksa. Dort hat man eine grosse Auswahl an verschienden Lodges und Restaurants. Da das Klima in Jakarta meist nicht sehr angenehm ist - es herrscht ziemlich starker Smog - sollte man am nächsten Tag die Stadt wieder verlassen. Z.B. in das 60 km südlich gelegene Bogor, wo eine etwas gemäßigteres Klima herrscht. Züge nach Bogor fahren von Kota Station und halten auch an Gambir Station (von der Jalan Jaksa trotz der schlechten Luft leicht zu Fuss zu erreichen). Das ist ein echtes Erlebnis. Auch wenn der Zug noch so voll erscheint, es geht immer noch jemand rein. Achtung Europäer: keine Berührungsängste!

Jakarta - the capital of indonesia is a very big and extremly fast growing city. There live ca. 10 million people. The infrastrukture couldn't crow even so fast, most of the local trains are overcrowded...
Many buildings are new. In Jakarta is really a boom. Some buildings look very similar to european or american buildings.
The climate in Jakarta isn't good. The air is foogy, it is too hot and - beware of the lots of moskitos there. Because of that, we take such a nice local train and go to Bogor.
