Hungarian Rome

Esztergom is one of the oldest towns in Hungary. It is situated in the north of hungary, at the border to Slovakia.
It is famous for it's historical christian buildings. There are the biggest hungarian cathedral and many other nice churches.

We went there by bus, coming from Budapest. This is an 1 hour ride, but quite relaxed. The bus starts at the central bus station (Metro station "Arpad hid", blue line) and goes at least every hour in both directions. We paid 618 HUF per person for one direction at the central bus station - this is really not pricey (about 2,50 EUR). But if you pay in the bus and you don't need a receipt, it may be cheaper...
