Now Google Maps
Why not Google Maps? Yes. This is a legitimate question, asked by Jens. So I tried Google Maps too and it was also quite easy. It's a much more better look than the vector lookalike of map24 and no Java has to be loaded, but the address search is not so easy and fault-tolerant as it was when I used map24 first.
So I guess I have to read some tutorials first...
Google Maps are very fine - if there are some for the country! So if you are looking for a place outside of europe and north america or even in former sovjet and yugoslavian countries (most of east europe is uncovered too), you will find nothing.
Maybe the solution is to mix map24 and google, depending on the country. But this is some more work...

Maybe you just have to switch to satelite view, when there are no maps ;-U

the problem is that there is a map but it doesn't contain any roads or cities...
