Chalon ist ein schönes Städtchen im Süden der Bourgogne, welches sich zwischen Plattenbauten seinen mittelalterlichen Charme bewahrt hat. Unten am Fluss legen im Sommer die Schiffe an und in der Woche ist Markt in den engen Gassen. Bekannt ist Chalon auch für seine Kathedrale, die vor ein paar Jahren aufwendig restauriert wurde. So wurde der komplette Sandstein gereinigt.
