Savonlinna Camping Vuohimäki

Save this article to your travelbook

The Savonlinna camping site is situated about 4 km in the northwest of the towncenter. Follow road 14 direction Mikkeli and you will see the signs, which will guide you to the place.
This camping site is surrounded by beautiful nature. It is on a wide area. The places for tents are in the wood, so it is difficult to find a plane place...
It costs 12 EUR for the place plus 4 EUR p.P. So it is 20 EUR for two persons and one tent. This is a little bit more pricy than the average that we experienced in Finland.
But there is public sauna (daily between 4 and 6 p.m.) included in this price. This sauna is quite spacy and close to the nice lake.

6 years ago I was in Finland too, now I will do my best and write an article about my experience. :-)

Ok. So I look forward to read your article about your finland experience. Did you meet some elks there?

No, I saw only some reindeers. You have to be lucky to see an elk. There are very shy animals.

I guess, elks don't really exist. A colleague from Finland told me, that he saw an elk... on the other side of a lake...
